VEBER FACELIFT

A personalized approach by
Dr. MichaelVeber

The cervico-facial facelift is the gold standard to correct facial and neck laxity. Performing the Deep Plane Facelift according to Mendelson, a refined technique that repositions the deeper layers of the face for powerful, natural rejuvenation. Unlike traditional methods, this approach selectively addresses mobile areas of the SMAS while remaining conservative in fixed zones, preserving your unique harmony and expression.

This is Dr. Michael Veber’s pinnacle procedure: a true deep-layer release that resets cheeks, sharpens the jawline, and refines the neck—without surface tension or a “pulled” look. By restoring structure (not just tightening skin), the face settles back into youth with calm, believable elegance. Natural expression stays; heaviness goes.

What it improves

  • Midface: flattens deep nasolabial folds, restores cheek projection

  • Jawline: sharpens definition, reduces jowls

  • Neck: refines bands and heaviness, restores the cervico-mental angle

  • Overall: fresher, younger appearance while preserving identity

Dr. Veber’s philosophy (the “signature”)

  • True deep-plane release of the mobile SMAS with selective ligament release (zygomatic/masseteric) for cheek elevation

  • Platysma management: lateral and, when needed, submental work to address bands and the neck angle

  • Minimal skin tension: lift is carried by deep tissues; skin is simply redraped → natural texture, better scar quality

  • No drains in standard cases; biological glue to reduce fluid and bruising

  • Nerve-safe vectors and conservative dissection in fixed zones to protect expression

  • Elegance first: the goal is a rested, proportionate face—not a different face

Complementary procedures (when useful)

  • Upper/lower blepharoplasty – Brightens the gaze by removing excess skin and refining under-eye bags or hollows. See page

  • Canthopexy (“Cat Eyes”) – Subtle support/elevation of the outer eyelid to refine eye shape, enhance lateral tilt when desired, and protect lower-lid tone in laxity or high-smile animation. See page

  • Neck refinement – Submental work/platysmaplasty when bands or central fullness persist. See Page

  • Fat grafting (lipofilling) – Restores soft volume to cheeks/temples; improves light and skin quality.

  • Skin quality boosters – Chemical peels see page , or SuperSkinFacial See page  once healed for clarity and glow.

Who is a good candidate?

  • Lower-face/neck laxity, jowls, deep folds, midface descent

  • Good skin quality and overall health; non-smoker or willing to stop pre/post-op

  • Realistic goals (natural, not “pulled”) and able to follow recovery guidance

The procedure (what to expect)

  • Anaesthesia: general

  • Duration: ~4–6 hours (tailored to anatomy and combined procedures)

  • Incisions: around the ear and short hairline extensions; submental incision if neck work is indicated

  • Technique in brief: deep-plane release → mobilize cheek/midface → platysma and neck treatment → conservative fat contouring if needed → skin redrape with low tension → meticulous closure

No drains. More comfort.
Rather than traditional drains, Dr. Veber uses a biological tissue glue to gently seal tissues—less swelling and bruising, smoother recovery, greater comfort.

Hospitalization

  • 1 night in clinic for comfort and monitoring (most cases)

Recovery timeline (easy guide)

  • Days 1–3: swelling/tightness, minimal discomfort controlled with medication; walk short distances, head elevated

  • Days 4–7: bruising begins to fade; light daily tasks; first check-up

  • Days 8–14: sutures out as indicated; camouflaging makeup typically possible; social return ~10–14 days

  • Weeks 3–6: swelling continues to refine; gradual return to exercise

  • Months 3–6: tissues soften and “settle”; final definition appears

Aftercare basics: sleep with head elevated 1–2 weeks; avoid heavy lifting/heat exposure; dedicated scar care and sun protection; adhere to review schedule.

Hospitalization and aftercare

Most patients spend one night in the clinic for optimal monitoring and comfort. Discharge is typically the next day with tailored post-operative follow-up.

An optimized recovery

  • 10 to 14 days of relative rest before returning to social life

  • Sports may be resumed after 6 weeks

  • Final results stabilize between 3 and 6 months, as swelling subsides and tissues regain natural softness

This recovery protocol ensures a smooth, discreet return to daily life.

Results & longevity

  • Natural lift of cheeks, jawline, and neck with balanced contours

  • Results are durable because deep support is repositioned

  • Aging continues—but from a younger baseline and with more graceful changes

  • Weight stability matters. For the best, longest-lasting outcome, keep your weight stable after surgery. If you plan to lose weight, it’s better to do so before your facelift. Small day-to-day changes (~1–2 kg) are fine, but larger fluctuations—especially weight LOSS —can soften definition in the cheeks, jawline, and neck and shorten the longevity of your result.
In short: lose it before, maintain after.

Risks & safety (brief)

Hematoma, infection, scar issues, numbness, temporary weakness or asymmetry can occur; permanent nerve injury is rare with experienced technique. Careful planning, blood-pressure control, and non-smoking protocols reduce risk.

Why choose Dr. Veber

This is Dr. Veber’s pinnacle surgery: a refined, nerve-aware deep-plane technique that prioritizes structure over stretch. The result is depth-based rejuvenation—credible, elegant, and true to you.

“I don’t chase tightness—I restore structure.
When the deep layers return to where they belong, the face relaxes back into youth—naturally.”
